Frequently Asked Questions

What's a medical illustrator?

A medical illustrator is a medically trained visual communicator who specializes in translating complex medical and scientific information into clear, engaging visuals. Their work is both accurate and accessible, ranging from textbook and journal illustrations to patient education materials, surgical illustrations, 3D models, 2D/3D animations, and interactive media. As technical artists with a deep understanding of science and medicine, medical illustrators place accuracy and clarity at the core of everything they create.

What kind of projects do you take on?

My specialties include patient education, biological and molecular illustration, editorial work, graphic design, and 3D modeling. However, I’m always open to projects outside of these areas.

How much does a project typically cost?

Every project is unique, and pricing depends on the specific needs, content, scope, and deliverables involved. If you have a project in mind, feel free to reach out! I’m happy to discuss your goals and provide a customized quote based on your budget, vision, and timeline.

Can I use your artwork in my presentation / journal / article / project?

If you’d like to use my work in a presentation, journal, article, or similar context, I’m happy to license existing images for use. Licensing is often a quicker and more cost-effective option than commissioning new artwork. Feel free to reach out if you’re interested in licensing my work!

Do you take non-medical illustration commissions?

While my primary focus is on medical and scientific illustration, I’m open to non-med art projects on a case by case basis. Feel free to send a message if you have an idea in mind!
