Abigail Rumpp grew up in East Knoxville, Tennessee, where she developed a love for both art and science from a young age. That dual passion led her to McKendree University, where she earned degrees in Biology and Biopsychology with a minor in Art, while competing as an NCAA swimmer.

After graduation, she began her graduate studies in Medical and Biological Illustration at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. During her time at Hopkins, Abigail developed a strong interest in patient education and public health communication through illustration and animation.

Abigail currently lives in Baltimore, and works as a full time medical illustrator for Kelly Gynecologic Oncology Service at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
